CORNERED comic y Baldwin

By now most of you will have heard of the Ellis Island Center at www.ellisislandrecords.org. It's hard to get through sometimes but after several nights trying I managed to find my father's immigration record.

He arrived on the Celtic appropriately enough, from Liverpool on August 20 1922. He was 24 at the time and single with light healthy complexion. He also had $45 to his name according to the original manifest records. Fortunately he was going to be met by his brother Patrick who lived at 10 Sherman Street in Brooklyn. But he had paid his own way as a passenger. It's fun to look and I recommend you try to find ancestors' records.
